Gitbot4Slack is an integration that connects your GitHub repositories with your Slack workspace. It automatically sends notifications about pull requests, pushes, and other repository events directly to your Slack channels.

2. Is Gitbot4Slack free?

Yes, currently all our services are free.

3. How many channels and repositories can I configure?

Currently, all registered workspaces are on the FREE plan by default, which only has 1 repository and 5 channels.

4. Is it possible for me to stop receiving messages from the bot even though it is installed and authorized?

Yes, unfortunately it is possible, server delay issues can occur at the time the message is about to be sent, interrupting the sending of the message.

5. How do I install Gitbot4Slack?

Simply click the “Add to Slack” button and authorize both Slack and GitHub when prompted. Once installed, you’ll be able to configure which repositories you want to monitor.

6. What permissions does Gitbot4Slack need?

Gitbot4Slack requires minimal permissions — only to read repository metadata and receive webhooks. It never has access to your private code or commit contents.

7. Does Gitbot4Slack store my data?

The bot stores only essential connection information like installation IDs and workspace tokens. No user messages, commits, or repository contents are permanently saved.

8. How do I remove Gitbot4Slack?

You can uninstall the GitHub App from your GitHub settings page or remove the Slack integration from your workspace’s App Management page at any time.
