Welcome to Gitbot4Slack. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you install and use our Slack application (the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

Our Service is designed to be a bridge between your GitHub and Slack workspaces. To provide this functionality, we collect and store the following information:

• Slack Information: Slack Workspace ID (`team_id`), Slack Bot Token (`xoxb-...`), and the Slack Channel IDs you configure.
• GitHub Information: GitHub App Installation ID and the full name of the repository you configure for monitoring.
• User Information: We do not store personal user data permanently. We temporarily process your Slack User ID during authorization only to link your installation to your workspace — it is not stored or shared.

We DO NOT collect or store the content of your code, commit messages, or pull request descriptions. Event data from GitHub is processed in-memory to generate notifications and is then discarded.

2.1. Technical Logs

We may collect basic technical logs (such as timestamps and error messages) to monitor service stability. These logs do not contain personal or repository data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve the Service, including authenticating with APIs, sending notifications, and allowing you to manage settings.

4. Data Storage and Security

All collected information is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Oracle Cloud. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise share your personal information or configuration data with any third parties.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
